Ten Great Date Ideas

A movie and dinner can be fun, but why not really impress her by taking her out to do something unique and original? You will win bonus points, and you might even learn something about her in the process. Here are some creative ideas for dates that will help you be the man she wants to spend more time with.

You can get ideas for dates by simply listening to the woman that you are asking out. What are her hobbies? What activities does she enjoy? Does she like horses? How about riding bicycles? Has she mentioned anything about dancing or playing pool? Don’t be afraid to ask questions about her interests. It shows her that you want to know more about her.

1. The great outdoors is a wonderful place for a date. Plan on an afternoon bike ride, or strap on some old roller skates and go to the park. These outdoor dates will show her that you are an active man, which is definitely an attractive quality.

2. Take her on a trip to your local farmer’s market to pick up some fresh produce, then take her back to your place to make lunch out of the foods you just picked out together. Not only is this original, it is a great, healthy summer activity.

3. Asking a woman if you can cook for her is one of the most romantic things you can do. There are many easy meals you can make that will cost you a fraction of the dinner bill at a restaurant. For an easy appetizer, slice a fresh baguette diagonally, and have a small dish of olive oil and balsamic vinegar mixed together for dipping.

4. It seems like it is more difficult to come up with fun dates when it is cold outside. Take a hint from the kids in your neighborhood… winter activities can be cheap and fun. Grab a couple of sleds and go over to a schoolyard or park. Work together to build a snowman in your yard. If you have the cash, rent a couple of snowmobiles for a few hours. Find a local ice rink… one of you can teach the other how to skate.

5. Go for a hike. Explore a place that neither of you have ever been before. Take little trails that look exciting. Pack lunch in your backpack, and don’t forget plenty of water and bug spray. Take a camera… looking at the photos can be your next date.

6. Find a comedy show in your area. It will give you a chance to show her your stellar sense of humor, and to see if she has one herself.

7. Take her to the zoo. Buy her a balloon or some cotton candy.

8. Show her your sophisticated side and ask if she would like to go to an art museum or gallery. Go out for a cup of coffee afterwards.

9. A bowling alley is a guaranteed night of fun, especially if it comes complete with pizza and arcade. Challenge her to a game of air hockey. See who can get the most tickets playing skee-ball.

10. If you live near a lake, there are plenty of things to do on the water. Rent a canoe, a rowboat, or jet skis. After it gets dark, lie on the ground and look at the stars.

Many of these dates can be even more fun if you turn it into a group outing. Take one of your friends and his girlfriend along. Let your date know that she can do the same. Going out with a woman can be less nerve-racking if you know other people will be there, and she will be more relaxed, too. It is also nice to get your friend’s opinion afterwards. If you want to go out with a group, yet would also like to spend time alone with your own date, no problem. Go do something fun with everyone, then break off afterwards to get a cup of coffee or to go on a walk.

Don’t settle for the same old date ideas. There are so many fun things to do - all you have to do is be creative. Not only will you have a better time, your date will see what a fun guy you are to be with.
