“Why Women Want Men Who Have Their Financial House In Order”

What is attraction? Well, one definition is a “force that moves one object to another”. In physics, forces are at work attracting objects. Like jumping off a building. Gravity will be the force that introduces you to your newest, closest friend – the pavement.

Relationships are governed by force or to say it another way...by attraction. How does one use-the-force? Do you simply close your eyes and listen for the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi? Not exactly.

You simply learn the laws of attraction. One law that’s universally true is this: Women are attracted to men who have their financial houses in order.

Does this mean you need to be Bill Gates? No, but it helps :). But the good news is Bill’s taken, the bad news is there is 6.5 billion people on this planet...so you’ve got some competition.

But don’t sweat it. One way to set yourself apart from the herd is to be good with money. Not rich, but wise with money. Most individuals financial lives are train wrecks and wrecks leave wreckage. And personal wreckage is not, in a word, attractive.

So why is being good with money attractive?

It’s very simple. Someone who is constantly late with their payments, always behind the eight ball, forever over extending themselves and great at giving excuses to creditors, girlfriends, bosses and the landlord are... unattractive.

The answer is do the exact and complete opposite. If that is unattractive and pushes people and relationships away from you, then using the principals of attraction to pull people your direction is a simple, but powerful tool.

If a guy is wise with money and his credit, he’s got options. Options good, no options veddy, veddy bad! If a guy has no options, it’s inevitable that when he’s out on a date he’ll at some point in the evening be seen as cheap.

Cheap is deadly.

Remember, you’re going to be wise with your money and credit. No need to spend wildly. But you have to pick your battles and live within your means. Give up some things during the week, so you’ll have options on the weekend.

It comes down to one word...discipline.

I have the following quote from General Schwarzkopf in my day planner: “The difference between a live soldier and a dead one is discipline.”

The same is true in relationships.

If you take care of yourself and show discipline in each area of your life (professionally, personally, financially and spiritually) you’ll not only personally benefit tremendously, but so will all the other relationships in your life.

You may say, “I’ve got zero discipline”. Not a good answer, but that doesn’t mean you need stay undisciplined. Start with small daily disciplines. Easy ones that you can keep. Then build from there.

One good place to start working on your financial disciplines would be with the book The Wealthy Barber by David Chilton. This is a simple read, but it contains some powerful insights.

You might also want to sit down with a financial advisor and start a disciplined savings program. You know the kind where the money is taken out of your paycheck before you see it? Having “forced discipline” in your life will improve your consistency.

Finally, you may want to get your credit report and check it for inaccuracies. Have you had trouble getting a credit card? Would you like to be able to reserve hotels, plane tickets and vacations but can’t because you’ve been turned down by the credit card companies?

It may be due to an inaccurate credit score.

Forget all the commercials you hear on the radio. If you truly want a free credit report, call the Annual Credit Report Request at 877-322-8228 and you won’t get pitched on other services.

A financial house that is in order gives you an unspoken force, a confidence that is, in a word...attractive.
