"Why Not Have Fun Along The Way"
Last week I received a very lengthy e-mail from a young man -- 35 years old -- who was very "determined" to find the love of his life by the time he hits 40. He's using my online dating system religiously, and finding LOTS of new women to see and meet, but he's missing out on one thing that's critical to his success, and I told him bluntly, that unless he gets up to speed -- QUICKLY... that he's basically wasting his time and energy.
He's been so possessed about finding his soulmate -- his end goal -- he's forgetting to enjoy his journey along the way. Instead of "experiencing" a variety of women, he's "going through" a variety of women.
He's just not having any fun. And if you have to be 40 anyway -- regardless of whether you're 40 and single, or 40 and attached -- why not have fun being 40, regardless?
Plus, if you're not taking care of yourself, and feeding your soul exciting and fun experiences, filled with laughs, then you're taking yourself W-A-A-Y too seriously, and you've got things all wrong.
No woman is going to be attracted to a man who's not sharing fun and joy with her, and you're going to wind up missing out on a lot of sexy charming women because frankly, your head is up your ass.
So remember, while it's GREAT to set goals, the learning's in your journey, NOT in your destination, and who you become along the way is based on what you experience, NOT what you DON'T experience.
